Our Midcentury lady gets a coat of paint

Its been a bit quiet on here lately! We have had a influx of house guests over the Easter and Anzac period and then an unexpected bereavement so life has been floating along in limbo. That's not to say we haven't been productive, over Easter we painted our house Resene " Slate" and we are currently priming the sills for a coat of Alabaster on them. We are one step from painting my beautiful front door cherry red...cant wait!

Since purchasing we have removed the 3 flax bushes up the drive away, moved the roses beside the patio, removed the plastic palisade ( fake weather board) off the house. Re weather boarded parts of the outside, repaired parts, insulated the wall you can see, Sanded, primed and now painted. Out the back we have removed and replaced a rotten deck and removed the limestone retaining wall and painted the fence.

The list to do is still much longer but of course that's the fun of house renovations.

  1. Oh wow Mel loving the new house colour - looking FAB. You just need a big monarch butterfly by the front door now :-) Sheree

  2. You guys have worked so hard, the house looks amazing love it!
